Another job for Apogen Technologies a Department of Defense sub-contractor.
This time the data source was microfilm, but the same custom deliverables were required as with the more traditional custom imageing suite.
After reviewing multiple microfilm scanners and processing software custom processes and applications were designed to automate each step as much as possible drastically reducing the time required.
This project was completed 3 months ahead of schedule.
The quality and types of microfilm involved had not been seen previously by the scanner manufacturers and several trips to their manufacturing facility with sample reals were made allowing them to enhanse their existing software/hardware.
